Shrimad Bhagwat, as we remember and also recognized with various names like Bhagwat Katha or Bhagwat Purana. In Hinduism, it is one of the greatest Puranas. Among the devotees of Lord Vishnu. Bhagwat Purana is categorized into twelve books known as Skandhas, which includes 332 chapters known as Adhyayas. Based on the recension, there are between 16,000 and 18,000 verses.

The liberation of King Parikshit
According to the Katha Shrimad Bhagwat, grandson of Arjun, King Parikshit was abominable to die within seven days. Due to caused insult to an innocent rishi by putting the dead snake on his shoulder. Knowing his fate, King Parikshit met a group of rishis led by Shikhadeva Gosvami at Ganga banks. Their rishi’s imparted Katha Shrimad Bhagwat to King Parikshit within seven days. After listening to the complete Katha Shrimad Bhagwat, the king left all his desires and gladly accepted his death.
